Berlin Blog

At the Berlin Blog under the title of "For the Love of Ouzo . . . What are you doing now?", we read:

A terrific vacation destination is the Isle of Simi, a Greek Island within spitting distance of Turkey, where roosters outnumber people, you can see stars into the next galaxy, and the port is lined with 19th and early 20th Century Italian architecture. As you stroll along the waterfront, Greek children chase each other around the docked boats, swearing like sailors."

Nice to see someone else has been to Simi, although we merely set foot on it shortly during a boat excursion while vacationing on Rhodes.

I agree that the stars as can be seen from the Mediterranean are sometimes a phenomenal night view.

Stars Stones and Scholars The Decipherment of the Megaliths as an Ancient Survey of the Earth by Astronomy

I think the right way to start out this blog is to refer to my just published book:

Stars Stones and Scholars:
The Decipherment of the Megaliths as an Ancient Survey of the Earth by Astronomy

by Andis Kaulins

Trafford Publishing
420 pages; perfect bound; catalogue #03-1722; ISBN 1-4120-1344-5
Price: US$35.99, C$45.99, EUR29.99, £20.99

1. Go to http://www.trafford.com
2. Enter the Bookstore
3. Click on the menu item "Search Desk"
4. Type in the name of book or author in the search box. ONE word is sufficient from title or author:
- e.g. Andis, Kaulins in the author search box
- e.g. Stars, Stones, Scholars, Decipherment, Megaliths, Ancient, Survey, Earth, Astronomy in the title search box

Read at the so-called "order" page:
a) About the Book b) About the Author c) View a Sample Excerpt from the Book

You need not order anything.
Only if it interests you, you CAN also order the book at that website page, but that is not the purpose of this posting, which is for your information only.

Note: The book may initially seem expensive by normal standards, but if you compare it to the prices of books in this field (e.g at http://www.eisenbrauns.com), it is quite reasonably priced.
